All My Sons of Sarasota realizes that buying a home will be one of your largest investments, so it is important to make intelligent decisions when it comes time to buy a home. Local Sarasota movers and packers believe that there are a few important facts that you should consider while you search for your new home.

  1. Location, location, location.

The old saying still holds truth, and since you are going to be living in this neighborhood for at least the next few years you will want to be sure that it is within close proximity to work and, if you have children, zoned in a good school district. Other things you should take into consideration include the condition of the neighborhood, proximity to shopping, any planned expansions, and traffic.

  1. Find the perfect Sarasota home.

Sarasota movers believe that you should find a home that fits your lifestyle. To easily determine if a home is right for you, plan ahead. You will need to prioritize what you must have in a home, such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, square footage, location, etc. Then, list all of the things that you would like to have in your home but do not need, such as a pool, deck, waterfront, etc.

  1. Don’t be impatient.

Depending on current market conditions, your options may be plentiful or slim. Even if you have looked at a dozen homes, or even a few, and still can’t find the right fit, don’t buy out of frustration or impatience. Buying a home should not be a decision that is made simply because you are looking to move to Sarasota, make sure that you take your time to find exactly what you want before committing to a purchase.

Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday is a time of Carnival celebrations that begin after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany. Fat Tuesday is a practice of the last night of eating richer and fattier foods before the ritual of fasting for Lent. Professional Sarasota movers know that Mardi Gras is usually celebrated in New Orleans, but Sarasota residents throw their own party.

The Sarasota Mardi Gras Music & Food Festival is coming to Payne Park for three days, on February 5, 6, and 7. The event will bring Cajun zest with live musical talents, some of which are native to the New Orleans Mardi Gras.

Phil Phunn will be hosting Mardi Gras in Sarasota; the festival will benefit the Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary. Guests are encouraged to attend decked out in Mardi Gras festive attire and ready for a bayou bash that will be fun for the whole family. Activities include carnival rides, games, face painting, cotton candy and snow cones.

All My Sons of Sarasota is happy to announce that admission to the festival grounds is free and features arts and crafts, merchant tents, a family fun zone, local restaurant food trucks, and much more.

The Sarasota moving company also announces that the Mardi Gras Festival will host a VIP big top that will feature alcoholic beverages, including bourbon street hurricanes and a crawfish boil. Admission to the big top in a very affordable – $10 in advance or $15 at the gate.

Craft beer lovers who are moving to Sarasota can rejoice! Sarasota has recently been announced as the host to the very first Florida Craft Beer Summit. Sarasota movers are really excited that the event will not only be taking place in the area, but it is coming in March, which is right around the corner!

Sarasota’s Florida Craft Beer Summit will be hosted by local brewer JDub’s Brewing Co. and will be held from March 14-16 at the Hyatt Regency on the Bayfront. Take a break from unpacking moving boxes and grab a cold brew with your movers at this fiesta for craft beer enthusiasts.

“It’s never been done in Florida before and long overdue,” Jeremy Joerger, JDub’s founder and CEO told Herald Tribune. He went on to mention that Florida is one of the fastest growing markets for craft beer, so it only seemed natural to introduce a major craft beer event like this to the locals in Sarasota.

Although the event is taking place in Florida and is catered to Florida, Joerger mentioned that he wants to include and extend an invitation to the entire Southeast.

The 2016 Florida Craft Beer Summit will include the following speakers:

  • Bart Watson – Chief Economist Brewers Association
  • Brian “Spike” Buckowski – brewmaster, co-founder of Terrapin Beer Co.
  • Joey Redner – founder and CEO Cigar City Brewing

If you are moving into the area before March, this is one local event that Sarasota movers recommend to adults ages 21 and up!

Although many consider summer to be the best time to move to a new home, you can still benefit from a fall move, especially if you are moving to Tampa, Florida. Between the difference in moving costs and the weather change, our Tampa full-service movers have 3 reasons why moving during the fall season may be better for you and your family.

1. Lower moving costs – Because most people planning a move choose to move in summer when kids are out of school and the weather is warmer, it can be difficult to find a moving company at a lower rate. However, in the fall, movers are more likely to negotiate on moving quotes because they are not in high demand and not receiving as much business. Therefore, moving to Tampa in the fall could be more cost-effective for you and your family.

2. Cooler weather – It’s no surprise that moving to Tampa, Florida during the summer can mean moving in brutally hot outdoor temperatures. Besides it being extremely hot, there is also a strong possibility of thunderstorms every day. However, if you make your move to Tampa during the fall season you can usually expect cooler temperatures and less chances for rain.

3. A pleasant driving experience – If you are moving long-distance to Tampa and you decide to move during the summer months, odds are that you will be caught driving in some wet or extreme weather. Making a road trip during the fall to your new home however, will likely result in a more pleasant drive. Especially if you are driving with children, fall weather means your kids will have more beautiful scenery to look at and making pit-stops will be easier without rain.

Fall is upon us, so if you are moving to Venice, FL it is the perfect time to start planning and creating your DIY Fall decorations for your new home. If you have used a full-service Venice mover, you will have plenty of time to make all of the things that will transform your new house into a home that you can be proud of. Before you hit the craft store, however, our Venice moving company has some great ideas for harvest-themed decorations for your new home. You may already have what you need to get started on some unique décor ideas!

Apple Votive Candles – (or any fall fruit or vegetable for that matter!) Simply hollow out the center of fruit or vegetable so there is enough room to place a small votive candle within. Once lit, the candle will naturally create a sweet, fall scent that you and your guests can enjoy.

Fall Foliage Centerpieces – Before you spend a ton on floral arrangements from your local grocery store, think about using nature found right outside your new home to create stunning centerpieces. Once you have settled into your new home after moving to Venice, take a walk around your yard and neighborhood. You will likely find pinecones, pine tree branches with pine needles, and twigs that have leaves turning color attached to them. Place these items in clear glass vases or scatter them in the center of a table.

Falling Leaves Garland – Buy string in an earth-tone or use something you have laying around the house. Purchase fake maple leaves from the craft store or use leaves that you find outside. Punch a hole at the base of each leave and use the string to create a beautiful fall leave garland that you can place on any wall in your home.

No matter how you decide to decorate your new home for fall, Venice movers are sure that you will have a great time creating pieces that reflect who you are, while making memories with friends and family after moving to Venice, Florida.
